Dans la housse, on retrouve la fl\u00fbte bien entendu, mais \u00e9galement, un chiffon avec \u00e9couvillon, un peu de graisse pour les jointures, des petits outils (bien utiles pour effectuer quelques r\u00e9glages), une seconde plaque d\u2019embouchure identique \u00e0 celle d’une fl\u00fbte \u00e0 bec, ainsi que des extensions pour certaines cl\u00e9s (La, Sol, Sol#), ce qui permet de faciliter l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux petites mains : tr\u00e8s malin !<\/p>\n\n\n

L’ABS, c’est quoi ?<\/h4>\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ses nombreuses caract\u00e9ristiques int\u00e9ressantes (l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9, robustesse, facilit\u00e9 de moulage\u2026), le plastique ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadi\u00e8ne Styr\u00e8ne) est largement utilis\u00e9 dans les appareils \u00e9lectrom\u00e9nagers, pour l\u2019impression 3D ainsi que dans l\u2019industrie du jouet. On peut par exemple citer la marque Lego qui l\u2019utilise depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es pour ses briques de construction. L’utilisation de ce plastique permet enfin \u00e0 la fl\u00fbte d’atteindre une longue dur\u00e9e de vie limitant ainsi son impact sur la fili\u00e8re du recyclage (\u00e9tape souvent polluante).\n<\/p><\/div>\n

La premi\u00e8re impression lorsque l\u2019on prend cette fl\u00fbte en main est sa l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 (environ 270g d\u2019apr\u00e8s nos mesures) et son aspect un peu \u00ab\u00a0jouet\u00a0\u00bb en plastique. Mais ne vous y trompez pas, derri\u00e8re son aspect \u00ab\u00a0jouet\u00a0\u00bb, cette fl\u00fbte Nuvo est plut\u00f4t bluffante !<\/p>\n

Elle est en effet plut\u00f4t agr\u00e9able \u00e0 tenir et tient bien en place gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 d\u2019astucieux coussinets antid\u00e9rapant plac\u00e9s sous l\u2019index gauche et pouce droit. <\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9mission du son est vraiment facile avec l\u2019embouchure classique et peut \u00eatre facilit\u00e9 par l\u2019utilisation de la seconde plaque d\u2019embouchure type flute \u00e0 bec. En revanche n\u2019esp\u00e9rez pas retrouver toutes les couleurs de son qu\u2019une fl\u00fbte en m\u00e9tal peut procurer… Par ailleurs, il est tr\u00e8s difficile d\u2019atteindre les notes dans le suraigu\u2026<\/p>\n

Concernant la m\u00e9canique, cette fl\u00fbte est surprenante : toutes les cl\u00e9s sont pr\u00e9sentes (m\u00eame la cl\u00e9 de trille de Sib), et m\u00eame s\u2019il est vrai qu\u2019il est n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019appuyer sur les cl\u00e9s plus fort que sur une fl\u00fbte d\u2019\u00e9tude classique, la m\u00e9canique fonctionne correctement et est assez r\u00e9active. Avec un peu d\u2019entrainement (et quelques r\u00e9glages), on arrive \u00e0 jouer certain passages rapides. A noter qu\u2019avec les petits outils pr\u00e9sents dans la bo\u00eete on peut re-ajuster les correspondances ce qui s\u2019av\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019usage bien pratique (si l\u2019on sait ce que l’on fait, bien entendu\u2026)<\/p>\n

Enfin, c\u00f4t\u00e9 robustesse, cette fl\u00fbte tient a priori ses promesses. Toutefois, il est quand m\u00eame pr\u00e9f\u00e9rable de la manier avec pr\u00e9caution car m\u00eame si notre mod\u00e8le est rest\u00e9 intact apr\u00e8s nos tests, nous avons pu constater que chez certains revendeurs, plusieurs pi\u00e8ces ont \u00e9t\u00e9 cass\u00e9es par des fl\u00fbtistes peu scrupuleux. Notez \u00e9galement qu\u2019il est possible de trouver sur internet certaines pi\u00e8ces de rechange, au cas o\u00f9\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n

Conclusions<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n

Au global, cette fl\u00fbte est plut\u00f4t assez s\u00e9duisante de par son originalit\u00e9 et sa facture honn\u00eate pour son prix !<\/p>\n

Alors, faut-il craquer et acheter cet instrument pour d\u00e9buter la fl\u00fbte ? Clairement cet instrument a des qualit\u00e9s mais reste loin des performances d\u2019une fl\u00fbte d\u2019\u00e9tude classique \u00e0 600-700\u20ac. Alors, avant de vous pr\u00e9cipiter sur cette fl\u00fbte pour d\u00e9buter la fl\u00fbte, on vous conseille fortement d\u2019en parler avec un professeur. <\/p>\n

De notre point de vue, cet instrument est plut\u00f4t bien adapt\u00e9 aux classes d\u2019\u00e9veil musical, lorsque les \u00e9l\u00e8ves testent \u00e0 tour de r\u00f4le les diff\u00e9rents instruments. Ainsi, un conservatoire pourrait typiquement s\u2019int\u00e9resser \u00e0 cette fl\u00fbte pour en \u00e9quiper ses classes. <\/p>\n

Enfin, si vous \u00eates fl\u00fbtiste et avez d\u00e9j\u00e0 une fl\u00fbte en m\u00e9tal, ne boudez pas cette fl\u00fbte ! Elle pourrait vous rendre bien des services lorsque par exemple vous souhaitez \u00e9changer quelques notes avec votre ami guitariste au coin du feu sur une plage… Peu on\u00e9reuse, waterproof et facile \u00e0 nettoyer, cette fl\u00fbte est parfaite pour \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e en ext\u00e9rieur ou dans des conditions insolites !Originally made out of wood then metal and even sometimes out of glass, it is finally not a surprise to see our favorite instrument be made out of plastic. Still, someone had to think of it and take on the challenge ! That is what Nuvo has done, proposing a range of flutes with a Boehm system entirely designed in ABS plastic. Presentation<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n

The use of plastic allows the Nuvo flutes to be available in a wide range of vivid colours (from black to pink and the very chic white) allowing each one of us to customise our own instrument : a very nice and original idea!
\nThe flute is available in two different versions: with a curved headjoint or with a straight headjoint. A pack is also available to upgrade the curved headjoint to a straight headjoint flute. The table below shows the different models and their prices.<\/p>\n

In the flute case, we find the flute of course, but also a cleaning rod, some grease for the joints, small tools (very useful to make some key adjustments), a second mouthpiece identical to that of a recorder, as well as some extensions for some keys (A, G, G #) to make it easier for small hands: very clever!<\/p>\n\n\n

What is ABS plastic?<\/h4>\n

Thanks to its many interesting features (lightness, robustness\u2026), ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is widely used in household appliances, for 3D printing as well as in the toy industry. For example, Lego has been using it for many years for its building bricks. The use of this plastic finally allows the flute to reach a long lifetime limiting therefore its impact on the recycling sector (often polluting stage).\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The first impression when taking the flute in hands is its lightness (about 270g according to our measurements) and its \u201ctoy\u201d aspect. But don\u2019t take it the wrong way, behind its \u201ctoy\u201d aspect, this Nuvo flute is rather impressive!<\/p>\n

From an ergonomic point of view, the flute is pleasant to hold, and thanks to its clever non-slip pads under the left index finger and right thumb, the flute holds very well in hand.<\/p>\n

Sound emission is really easy with the conventional mouthpiece and can be even facilitated by using the second mouthpiece (recorder type). However, do not expect to find all sound colours that a metal flute can provide\u2026 Moreover, it is very difficult to reach the highest notes of the flute register (top B or top C)\u2026<\/p>\n

Regarding the mechanism, this flute is surprising: all the keys are present (even the key for B flat trill). Even if it is true that it is necessary to press the keys harder than on a conventional student flute, the mechanism works properly and is quite responsive. With a little bit of practice (and some adjustments), it is possible to play certain quick passages (concerto for exemple). Note that with the small tools in the box one can re-adjust the keys which turns out to be very convenient.<\/p>\n

Finally, regarding robustness, this flute holds all its promises. However, it is still preferable to handle it carefully because even if our model remained intact after all of our tests, we have seen that in some retail stores, several parts were broken by unscrupulous flutists. Note however that it is possible to find on the internet some spare parts, just in case\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n

Conclusions<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n

At the end, its originality, quality of construction and its very low price make this flute very attractive !<\/p>\n

So, should someone be tempted and buy this instrument to begin playing the flute? Clearly this instrument has a lot of qualities but remains far from the performance of a conventional student flute in the range of 600-700\u20ac. So, before rushing to buy this flute, we strongly recommend that you exchange with a teacher first.<\/p>\n

From our point of view, this instrument is rather well adapted to primary musical education, when students try out several instruments to pick the one they prefer. Thus, a conservatory or a music school could typically be interested in this flute to equip its classes.<\/p>\n

Finally, if you are an experienced flutist and already have a metal flute, do not ignore this flute! It could be useful; for example when you want to play some tunes with your guitarist friend on a beach, at night around a fire pit\u2026 Cheap, waterproof and easy to clean, this flute is perfect for outdoor use or for playing in any unusual conditions!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
