Recruiting Students
In preparation for the upcoming festival and masterclasses we would like to ask for your help in spreading the word about our masterclasses in your own extensive networks of colleagues & students.

It is essential for the continuation of our work that the Aurora Festival continue to attract strong classes of young artists on all instruments. Even though Aurora has produced 44 masterclasses & festivals in the past 13 years, our network needs continuous growth and development in order to maintain the experience and possibilities that we are able to offer to new generations of young musicians.

We would be extremely grateful if you could help us in this respect and thank you in advance for your efforts.
The masterclass is also advertised on Facebook https://facebook.com/AuroraMusicFestivals, Instagram https://www.instagram.com/auroramusicfestivals/, and on Musicalchairs https://www.musicalchairs.info/courses.

1500 Euros in Prizes
Main Stage Performance Opportunities

• Jury prize: 1 000 EUR + solo performance on the last day of the festival!
• Audience prize: 500 EUR
• Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, Piano, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Tuba, Percussion, Voice

Last year in Stockholm the jury chose to split their prize between a wonderful clarinetist and an exciting percussionist both from Poland with the audience giving their prize overwhelmingly to the Marimba specialist! Who will it be this year?

The Aurora Music Competition in Stockholm is back, remodelled and redesigned for another exciting opportunity for our students at the festival. Students will have the opportunity to register for the competition for a symbolic fee and will all have the opportunity to perform for an international panel who will make a selection for the semi-final and finally the public final which takes place during the festival! All students who sign up will have their opportunity to be heard in the early days of the festival and the winner(s) will perform on the final day of the festival.

Expressing your inner love of music. Sharing timeless personal stories, emotions and experiences written by some of history’s greatest creative geniuses through your own personal voice and expression. The opportunity to change the lives of your listeners forever. The burning desire to move, charm, and dazzle your audience.
If this applies to you, then apply now to the Aurora Music Competition. Embedded into the heart of the Aurora Festival experience which includes masterclasses from some of the worlds greatest pedagogues, chamber music coaching and performances and the opportunity to have fun with and listen to musicians from all over the world, is the Aurora Music Competition.

The competition is open to all participants at the Aurora Festival Masterclasses. Each participant has the option to take part with a solo work for their instrument between 5 and 15 minutes in length. Aurora does not supply a pianist but you may bring your own or ask one of the many participating pianists at the festival to support you!

The jury will select the student that to them best represents the Aurora spirit, or might chose to divide the prize between multiple candidates, who receive or share 1000 euros. The winner(s) will then perform as part of the festival Grande Finale on the Aurora Festival main stage. The live audience will also cast their vote to choose a winner of the 500 euro audience prize.

• For European students, upon acceptance into the Aurora Festival Masterclasses, an application fee of 50 euros applies to all students who also wish to participate in the Aurora Music Competition. For students from outside the EU, this fee is included in the course fee.
